The Kingdom of God {Part II}

The kingdom of God on earth is not for the weak, the faint of heart, the uncommitted or the lukewarm. The kingdom of God is not for sissies!

Do not be deceived by the lowly circumstances of His birth, the size of His early following, or the demeaning agony of His death. Jesus came to this earth with power, never experienced before or since.

The kingdom Jesus ushered in was not the expected political or territorial dominion that His people sought and leaders feared. No, it was something much more alarming to the enemy - the power of perfect love.

God is love, and that love, manifested in human form, has the ability to draw all people, in all circumstances, throughout all of time - to draw them all to God.

It is the revolutionary love of God that, in the span of a moment, can turn a small boy into a bold warrior, a persecutor of Christians into an evangelist, and a hardened atheist into a Christian apologist.

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all His promises and loving toward all He has made. ~ David, boy warrior  Psalm 145:13

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sin. ~ Paul, evangelist  Colossians 1:13-14

“I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen; not because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” ~ C.S. Lewis, Christian apologist

My Kingdom Come

You are My kingdom on earth

Step into your rightful place

We usher it in side by side

Brokenness conquered by grace

Go into the darkness

Bring in My light

Face the world’s blindness

Give it My sight

Where you see death

I’ll show you breath

Where there is pain

My comfort sustains

I never brought in

My kingdom by force

I knock on the door

You open the source

I’ll be there in green times

I’ll see you through drought

When snares seek to trap you

I’ll show you an out

My grace is sufficient

It covers all needs

My kingdom is sown now

And you are My seeds
